Englische Bücher um dein Englisch zu verbessern

In diesem Blogbeitrag (Videoclip und Post) gebe ich dir ein paar Tipps für englische Bücher, um dein Englisch zu verbessern und etwas über London zu lernen.

Covid-19 has put restrictions to travelling to the UK and to London. Yet, don’t have to avoid totally a visit to London: you can go there comfortably from your home, with an interesting book. I have for three graded readers

For those of you who enjoy reading I suggest three graded readers:

Fairway to London This is a book for learnes who have A1. The book has got a lot of information about the most important historical and modern buildings in London. It also presents some famous British people. And you get to know some interesting aspects of English language, such as «rhyming slang». And much more.

The second book is The 6:42 from London Bridge. This is the story of Raj Patel, son of an Indian family, who is supposed to take over his parents’ shop. Yet, his dream is to become an actor. After a quarrel with his parents, Raj decides to pursue his dream. To earn the necessary money, he gets a job as a bike courier. The readers follow Raj through the streets of London as Raj meets a weird guy.

This book is suitable for learners who are A2.

The third book that I would like to introduce is King of Shadows. This is a lovely book, which, I’m sure, the theatre-going lovers will enjoy. The story starts in the present time, and the readers are taken along on a time journey. Together with Nat Fields we go back to the times of Elisabethan England, where we meet THE master himself, William Shakespeare. There … No, enough, read the book yourself and enjoy the visit behind the scenes of A Midsummer Night’s Dream.

I suggest this book for learners with B1-B2 level.

Here are the three books with ISBN number. Have fun reading.
